SUPER 'J'
AMA Electric A/B Competition
and
Sport Model
54-1/2 in wingspan
|
|
CB Model Designs is expanding it's line of kits into the AMA Electic A/B arena.
The SUPER 'J' is a scaled-up version of the JOULEBOX E-36 design. It was developed based on numerous
JOULEBOX E-36 customer suggestions and request for a larger JOULEBOX to fly in the AMA Electric
A/B events.
.
Maintaining the same arrangement and construction concept as the E-36 JOULEBOX,
this design is simple and familiar to JOULEBOX E-36 builders and offers an easy transition
to this larger size competition class.

RAMROD 280
eNostalgia Competition
and
Sport Model
41-3/4 in wingspan
|
|
CB Model Designs is excited to be a part of the eNostalgia movement.
This model, our rendition of the infamous 1/2 A Ramrod 250, is easy to build and fly, much like the original gas powered model.
The RAMROD 280 was developed from a drawing Ramrod designer Ron St. Jean made for the John Pond plan Service, identified as the “Ramrod 250”.
The date of this drawing is unknown, but the Ramrod came into play as a free flight contender in the mid-1950’s and on,
in various sizes as developed by competition flyers utilizing the Ramrod configuration.
The Pond plan shows a Cox Thermal Hopper .049 engine installed, and was targeted for 1/2A class competitions.
The eNos version has followed the design intent of this drawing and based on the wing area, puts it in the Class ‘A’ competition
bracket based on the NFFS rulebook sizing parameters for electric powered Nostalgia era designs.
The name therefore has been updated to “RAMROD 280” to avoid confusion over wing sizing rules which limit 1/2A eNostalgia models to 250 square inches or less.
